The excessive sugar intake can also result in increased uric acid levels, potentially leading to kidney stones and other complications. Moreover, the phosphoric acid found in many dark sodas can cause a decline in kidney function over time, particularly in those who consume these drinks regularly.
Energy Drinks
Energy drinks, often marketed for their ability to boost energy and enhance athletic performance, can be particularly harmful to the kidneys. These beverages typically contain high levels of caffeine and other stimulants, which can lead to dehydration, especially when consumed in excess.
